What’s on tap this week
Hey all, happy Sunday to you.
Just a heads up about what to look for this week on the blog and in the Daily News as far as Western Kentucky football is concerned.
The Hilltoppers will continue their two-a-day practice format on Monday, Wednesday and Friday — I’ll be there to keep everyone up to speed on the team’s progress.
I’ll continue to monitor the quarterback situation and see if anyone starts to pull away and claim the job. WKU has its first official scrimmage of the fall tentatively set for this coming Saturday, so that will be a big opportunity for someone to claim the spot.
Also, Media Day is Thursday — so look for plenty of coverage from that event Thursday and Friday on the blog and in the paper.
I’ll also try and catch up with new defensive coordinator Mike Dietzel at some point this week and get his take on how things have been running from the defensive side of the ball so far this fall.
And just a little shameless self-promotion here: Be sure to pick up a copy of the Daily News on Thursday, as our annual special high school and college football pullout section will be included. The section will have plenty of information on WKU football as well as prep football all over the Daily News coverage area.
And as always, if anything happens on the basketball front – be sure to check back here and I’ll do my best to keep everyone updated.
