Kahlil McDonald commits to WKU

7 04 2010

Well it’s official – I just got word from Blinn (Texas) College coach Tra Arnold that JUCO junior guard Kahlil McDonald has given his verbal commitment to Western Kentucky.

McDonald joins California JUCO point guard Ken Brown as WKU’s second junior college commit for next season.

McDonald made a visit to WKU on the weekend of March 19, along with Brown.

A 6-4 190-pound guard from Brooklyn, N.Y., McDonald was rated as the 12th-best junior college prospect in the country by Rivals.com in November.

McDonald averaged 23.4 points per game last season as a sophomore, he also shot 45 percent from behind the 3-point arc.

McDonald can officially sign his Letter-of-Intent on April 14 – when the college basketball signing period begins.

We’ll have a full story on this in Thursday’s Daily News.
