Jameson Tipping to transfer from WKU

9 04 2010

I spoke with Wesern Kentucky redshirt freshman forward Jameson Tipping this morning and he informed me that he is planning to transfer from WKU.

Tipping appeared in 28 games this season for the Hilltoppers, starting in four of them. He finished the season with 1.7 points per game.

Tipping said he wasn’t sure where exactly he’ll end up next season, but did say he was planning on taking a few visits to schools inside the state of Florida once the current academic semester at WKU ends. Tipping played his high school ball at Bradenton Christian Academy.

Tipping also said that there are no hard feelings whatsoever in this decision, and that WKU coach Ken McDonald has been very supportive and will offer him help with anything he may need as time moves forward.

I’ll have a full report on this in today’s Daily News.
