Potential baseball problem averted (for now)

13 04 2010

Western Kentucky saved itself a potential schedule problem today by canceling a two-game non-conference home-and-home with Evansville.

Before the season, as is normal due to rain anticipation, the Hilltoppers scheduled themselves a handful of extra games just in case certain contests were lost due to rain.

Well, good or bad, WKU hasn’t seen a whole lot of rain this season – and had to get rid of a few games in the process to meet the maximum schedule requirements.

If none of WKU’s further games are rained out, WKU will have to find a way to cancel yet another – as the Hilltoppers were three-games over-scheduled heading into the season.

The dates for the Evansville series were April 27 in Bowling Green and May 5 in Evansville.
