Couple of midday updates

15 04 2010

– Just got back from WKU football practice, the final run through of the spring – I’ll have a full spring game preview coming up in Saturday’s paper in preparation for Saturday’s spring game.

– In case you weren’t there last night (and if you weren’t, you missed out), the WKU baseball team fell to Louisville in quite a thriller – 7-6. The No. 19 Hilltoppers will look to get back on the horse starting Friday with a three game set at FAU. I’ll have a full preview of that series in Friday’s edition of the Daily News.

– On to the ever popular signing day situation with men’s basketball. I’ve been told by a source close to the situation that WKU has received a letter of intent from Cerritos College point guard Ken Brown, and is still waiting on one from Blinn College guard Kahlil McDonald.

McDonald’s letter is in fact expected to arrive sooner rather than later, sometimes these things take longer than you may expect for whatever reason.

In any event! Whenever McDonald’s letter arrives, we’ll do our best to get you comments from coach Ken McDonald on both signings and all that good stuff.

– Also, I’ll have an update on the blog later today with some new football tailgating policies – as the university has made some significant changes to the newly formed policies it brought into play late last season.

So keep an eye out for that later this afternoon.

– until then, stay tuned
