Courtney Lee on the move again

For the second time in his brief career, former Western Kentucky star Courtney Lee has been traded.

ESPN.com is reporting that Lee is part of a four-team, five-player deal that will see him shipped from the New Jersey Nets to the Houston Rockets.

This will make it three teams in as many years for WKU’s co-scoring champion, as he began his career with the Orlando Magic in 2008 before being shipped to New Jersey prior to the 2009-10 campaign.

Should the deal get cleared, Lee’s role would almost assuredly be as a backup – as the Rockets acquired high-scoring two-guard Kevin Martin last season.

The deal reportedly sends Trevor Ariza from Houston to New Orleans, Darren Collison and James Posey to Indiana and Troy Murphy to the Nets.

It is great to see a WKU alum making it in the NBA. His career will do nothing but improve now that he is out of New Jersey.
