WKU 7, Indiana 0 9:27 first quarter

18 09 2010

After Tandon Doss takes the opening kickoff 87 yards to the WKU 13, the Hilltoppers catch a huge break two plays later when IU’s Darius Willis fumbled at the nine.

Quanterus Smith recovered, and 10 plays later, Bobby Rainey found the endzoe from 11 yards out to make it 7-0.

Huge break early for WKU and an even bigger response by the offense to turn it into points.

Rainey was able to get virtually whatever he wanted on the ground during that drive, as he already has 62 yards rushing.

Let’s see if the defense – and more importantly the kickoff team – can sustain this early momentum.
