Western Kentucky senior forward Juan Pattillo’s status for Saturday’s Murray State game is currently up in the air.
WKU coach Ken McDonald acknowledged that Pattillo “missed some time” earlier this week, and is currently in the process of dealing with some personal issues.
McDonald said Pattillo is still with the team, and has not been suspended, but his status for Saturday is unclear.
“There are some personal things he has to handle right now,” “He’s been a part of practice, but he’s going through a tough time and we’re trying to be supportive as a staff and as a team for his needs. He was in practice (Thursday), but he continues to have to deal with some stuff personally.
“We’ll see (if he plays). He’ s had to take a step away to deal with some things. We have to move forward, but we want to be supportive for him with what he’s going through. He started back (Thursday) after missing some time. He’s still on the team, it’s not a disciplinary thing, but he has to figure some things out personally.”
I have been told tonight that Pattillo did in fact make the trip to Murray with the team.
As to whether or not he’ll suit up Saturday – we’ll have to wait and see.
