Taggart sways MTSU commit to change mind

27 01 2011

This originally came down via Rivals.com, InsideHilltopperSports.com, but the Daily News has gotten confirmation tonight that former Middle Tennessee commitment T.J. Smith has changed his mind and has plans to sign with Western Kentucky next week during National Signing Day.

Smith – a 6-2, 210-pound three-star defensive end from Hazel Green, Ala.– becomes WKU’s ninth three-star commitment for the 2011 season.

According to Rivals, Smith picks WKU over MTSU, Arkansas State and South Alabama.

That also brings the list up to 19 players as of now, as the Daily News has also learned tonight that the report on Sarasota, Fla. running back John Evans committing to WKU is not quite official.

While that could still happen, as of now, Evans is not a WKU pledge at moment.
