WKU football class hits 21

I was traveling most of the day back from Florida, but while I was gone, Rivals.com reports that Western Kentucky picked up commitment Nos. 20 and 21 in three-star running back Marquis Sumler (5-9, 180/Pensacola, Fla.) and two-star defensive end Lawrence Campbell (6-4, 210/ Groveland, Fla.).

That brings Willie Taggart’s three-star haul up to 10 – and his crop of players from Florida up to 12 for the 2011 class.

Campbell had offers from MTSU, Bowling Green and Tennessee State; while Sumler had offers from FIU, FAU, Iowa State, La. Tech, Memphis, MTSU, Southern Miss and Vanderbilt.

Coach Taggart and his staff are doing a Great Job.. Give this team a year or two and they will be going to a bowl game and competing for the Sun Belt. Best part is the Florida kids have a winning attitude that will rub off on the others. Go Toppers.
