WKU football loses another coach

16 02 2011

The Daily News confirmed with a source this morning that quarterbacks coach/passing game coordinator Mike Sanford is heading to Stanford, where he will serve as running backs coach.

Sanford is the third member of Willie Taggart’s 2010 staff to leave the program this offseason, ad former DBs coach Clayton White left for UConn and former defensive coordinator Clint Bowen departed for North Texas.

I’m on the road to Little Rock for WKU hoops at the moment, but I’ll have more later.

A lot of coaching changes in one year. Do the other coaches see eye to eye with coach Taggarts philosophy? Two coaches followed him. I am sorry I feel if they bring in a coach they should bring in a coach that can fill OC and QB coach. Coach Taggart calling plays and trying to direct all aspects of a game is way too much for the head coach. They probable can use someone more experience and more mature then what they already have on staff. In a staff you need a mix. I feel someone mature would be good for the young QBs they have on the roster. I feel the DC they hired was a awesome selection as in his personality. Coaching the xs and os we will see.
