WKU junior WR Dexter Haynes no longer suspended

14 07 2011

Western Kentucky junior receiver Dexter Haynes has had his indefinite suspension lifted, and will be back on the field with the team when it opens fall camp on Aug. 6.

WKU sports information confirmed Haynes’ situation to the Daily News this afternoon.

Haynes missed all of spring practice due to the suspension, which was given for a violation of team rules.

WKU did not comment on what the nature of the violation was – but jail records showed that Haynes had been arrested in Bowling Green in February for driving under the influence.

The 6-4, 189-pound Haynes caught eight passes for 200 yards and two touchdowns last season.
