The Western Kentucky men’s basketball program will be in search of a new strength and conditioning coach as a source close to the situation informed the Daily News today that former Hilltopper standout and most recent strength coach Todor Pandov won’t return to WKU next season.
Pandov – who has been on staff at WKU for the past two seasons – will be taking a job at the University of Miami (Fla.) as the strength and conditioning coach for the Hurricanes’ men’s basketball program next season.
A former Hilltopper forward from 2000-04, Pandov will be making a return trip to Coral Gables next season – as he spent the 2007-08 campaign as a graduate assistant manager with the Hurricanes.
Pandov then returned to WKU in 2008-09 as a strength and conditioning coach on head coach Ken McDonald’s staff.
